Building the Parish and School for Future Generations

Construction Complete!!

Why Did We Build?

San Francisco de Asís Catholic Parish built a Parish Education Center so our commununity has a place to form disciples of Jesus Christ and pass on the faith for future generations.

What Was Built?

  • A Parish Center that has four meeting rooms and a parish hall.
  • A School with 11 classrooms (3 year old Pre-school through 8th grade)
  • A 10,000+ square-foot gym
  • An Industrial kitchen
  • Multi-purpose Music room for school and liturgical music ministries
  • School Science lab, Computer lab, and Library

Will the School portion be only for school purposes?

No.  The school rooms will be used for many SFDA Parish needs including, Children's Religious Education (R.E.) classes, meetings, Scouting programs, etc.  The gym will also serve as a cafeteria, Catholic Youth Sports leagues, and more!

April, 2017

In December, 2016, the City of Flagstaff issued its final Certificate of Occupancy for the SFDA Parish Center and School.

Our 6, 7, and 8 Grades relocated from the old downtown school to the new facilities to begin the Spring, 2017 semester.

Parish ministries are now meeting in our new parish center rooms and halls.

The Upper Room has been utilized for Christmas and Easter overflow Masses as well as for our Mardi Gras celebration in conjunction with Catholic Charities.

A Parish Center/School Construction Loan, $3.5 million, funded the final phase of construction.  Monthly loan payments are now being made and your continued financial support is critical!
