Happy Easter!

The Lord is Risen! With the 40 days of Lent concluded, we celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord and begin the 50 days of Easter celebrations. The Opening Prayer for Mass during the day on Easter says this: "O God, who on this day, through your Only Begotten Son, have conquered death and unlocked for us the path to eternity..."

This is the reality we celebrate, that God has conquered death and transformed it so that the path to eternity is unlocked for us. We rejoice in this gift and ask God to continue to deepen within us the spirit of gratitude for this magnificent work.

This year, we welcomed 20 people into the Church at the Easter Vigil. These new Christians received Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion. On May 3rd, we will have First Communion and Confirmation for our students and some adults who are preparing for these Sacraments. Please keep them in your prayers in their last few weeks of preparation.

El Señor ha resucitado

¡Felices Pascuas!

¡El Señor ha resucitado! Concluidos los 40 días de Cuaresma, celebramos la Resurrección del Señor y comenzamos los 50 días de celebraciones de Pascua. La oración de apertura de la Misa del día de Pascua dice: «Oh Dios, que en este día, por tu Hijo Unigénito, venciste la muerte y nos abriste el camino a la eternidad ... ».

Esta es la realidad que celebramos: que Dios ha vencido la muerte y la ha transformado para que el camino a la eternidad esté abierto para nosotros. Nos regocijamos en este don y pedimos a Dios que siga profundizando en nosotros un espíritu de gratitud por esta magnífica obra.

Este año dimos la bienvenida a 20 personas en la Iglesia en la Vigilia Pascual. Estos nuevos cristianos recibieron el Bautismo, la Confirmación y la Primera Comunión. El 3 de mayo tendremos la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación para nuestros estudiantes y algunos adultos que se están preparando para estos sacramentos.

Por favor, manténganlos presentes durante sus últimas semanas de preparación. ¡Sepan que rezo por cada uno de ustedes!
