Happy Sunday!

A very Happy Father's Day to all of our fathers in the parish. As we celebrate Father's Day we also celebrate Trinity Sunday. This special solemnity invites us to turn our gaze to the Heav- enly Father who pours himself out for us and teaches us authentic love. The Church teaches us that the Father eternally begets His Son Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit, the love of the Father and Son, proceeds from them both. While we can speak of many things in the Trinitarian mystery, today I would invite us to reflect on the good- ness of God who can't help but give Himself to us. Sometimes it is tempting to ask "Is this true? Why me? Does God really care about me?"

We can ask these things, but we want to remember to whom we address the questions and to let Him answer, not ourselves answer. The more we can sit in silence to listen to the Blessed Trinity, the more we can be disposed to receive every- thing God wants to give us.

Domingo de la Trinidad

¡Feliz domingo!

¡Feliz Día del Padre a todos los padres de la parroquia! Mientras celebramos el Día del Padre tambien celebramos el Domingo de la Trinidad. Esta especial solemnidad nos invita a dirigir la mirada al Padre Celestial que se derrama por nosotros y nos ensena el amor autentico. La Iglesia nos enseña que el Padre engendra eter- namente a su Hijo Jesucristo.

El Espíritu Santo, el amor del Padre y del Hijo, procede de ambos. Si bien podemos hablar de muchas cosas en el misterio trinitario, hoy los invito a reflexionar sobre la bondad de Dios, quien no puede evitar entregarse a nosotros. A veces es tentador preguntarse: "¿Es esto cierto? ¿Por qué yo? ¿De verdad le importo a Dios?".

Podemos preguntar- nos estas cosas, pero debemos recordar a quién le dirigimos las preguntas y dejar que Él respon- da, no nosotros mismos. Cuanto más nos sente- mos en silencio a escuchar a la Santísima Trini- dad, más dispuestos estaremos a recibir todo lo que Dios quiere darnos.
