SFdA is Back to School

Happy Sunday!

It is good to be back home! Thank you for your prayers while I was traveling. I had the opportunity to stop at Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery in Roswell, NM and offer Mass for the Poor Clare sisters there. I then went to the final vows of a religious sister in Corpus Christi. From there I went to Austin, TX for my 10-year reunion with my seminary classmates from the North American College. We were about 50 of us who were ordained and 30 of us showed up for the reunion. It was a great time to spend together, catch up on the last 10 years, and share what the Lord has been doing in our lives.

This week our SFdA School started back up! It is great to have our students and families back around. At the school we do not provide just an education, but formation in the Christian life. We are fortunate to have staff and teachers who are commit- ted to this end. They do not merely share information with our students but show them God is at work in the midst of the truths they learn. I am very grateful to our teachers and families who work together to bring the light of Jesus Christ to our community.

¡Qué bueno es estar de vuelta en casa! Gracias por sus oraciones durante mi viaje. Tuve la oportunidad de llegar al Monasterio de Nuestra Señora de Guada- lupe en Roswell, Nuevo México, y ofrecer la Misa por las Hermanas Pobres de Santa Clara de allí. Luego asistí a la ceremonia de votos perpetuos de una religiosa en Corpus Christi. Desde allí viajé a Austin, Texas, para el reencuentro de los 10 años con mis compañeros de seminario del North American College. Fuimos unos 50 los ordenados y 30 asisti- mos a la reunión. Fue un tiempo maravilloso para estar juntos, ponernos al día sobre estos últimos 10 años y compartir lo que el Señorha estado haciendo en nuestras vidas.

¡Esta semana nuestra escuela SFdA ha reanudado sus actividades! Es una alegría tener de nuevo aquí a nuestros alumnos y a sus familias. En la escuela no solo ofrecemos educación, sino también formación en la vida cristiana. Tenemos la suerte de contar con personal y maestros comprometidos con este fin. No se limitan a compartir información con nuestros estudiantes, sino que les muestran que Dios está obrando en medio de las verdades que aprenden. Estoy muy agradecido a nuestros maestros y famili- as, que colaboran para llevar la luz de Jesucristo a nuestra comunidad.
