Happy Sunday,

I hope everyone has had a good start to February and is staying warm in the midst of the cold and snow! This week we begin the great season of Lent. Ash Wednesday begins these 40 days of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in preparation for the Easter celebrations. We have a full day of Masses, Liturgy of the Word services with ashes distributed, and confessions. Please see the bulletin for the full schedule (Wednesday confessions will be on as normal).

This Lent we are glad to welcome Fr. Adam Potter from the Diocese of Pittsburgh to lead our parish mission from February 26-28. Fr. Potter will give the same talk twice a day, a morning session and then an evening session. The theme will be “Streams of Living Water”. Fr. Potter will be inviting us to reflect on how God desires to fill our hearts with Himself during Lent.

¡Espero que todos hayan tenido un buen comienzo de febrero y se estén manteniendo calientes en medio del frío y la nieve! Esta semana comenzamos la gran temporada de Cuaresma. El Miércoles de Ceniza inicia estos 40 días de oración, ayuno y limosna en preparación para las celebraciones de Pascua. Tenemos un día completo de Misas, servicios de Liturgia de la Palabra con distribución de cenizas y confesiones. Consulte el boletín para conocer el calendario completo (las confesiones de los miércoles se realizarán con normalidad).

Esta Cuaresma nos alegra dar la bienvenida al Padre Adam Potter de la Diócesis de Pittsburgh dirigirá nuestra misión parroquial del 26 al 28 de febrero en inglés. Padre Potter dará la misma charla dos veces al día, una sesión por la mañana y luego una sesión por la noche. El tema será “Arroyos de Agua Viva”. Padre Potter nos invitará a reflexionar sobre cómo Dios desea llenar nuestros corazones consigo mismo durante la Cuaresma. También tenemos las Discípulas de Jesús de San Luis Potosí que viene para presentar un Retiro Cuaresmal en español el 16 y 17 de marzo. ¡Espero que te puedas unir a nosotros!
