Becoming Catholic
We're so glad you found this page! Maybe there's a question stirring, a tug toward something deeper, or a friend or spouse who invited an exploration of what this whole "Catholic thing" is about. However you landed here, a genuine welcome awaits.
The Catholic Church is a family, founded by Jesus Christ over two thousand years ago, and it is still very much alive today. It's a place where questions are welcomed, not feared. A place where doubts can be brought honestly, where Scripture comes alive, where ancient traditions still speak to modern hearts, and where real friendships are found along the way. Becoming Catholic isn't about checking boxes or memorizing a list of rules. It's about falling in love with Jesus Christ and discovering a whole community of people walking that same road.
Whether this is a first real look at faith, a return home after years away, or simply a season of asking big questions, there's no need to have it all figured out before showing up. That's not how this journey is supposed to begin. The parish offers a warm, unhurried path called OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults), designed for exactly this moment, no cost, no pressure, just honest conversation and a community eager to welcome someone new.
Curious to talk it through? Please reach out to Michael Vollmer, our Director of Adult Formation and OCIA. He leads the adult formation classes and would love to hear from anyone exploring the faith, no question too small or too big.
