Ordination / RE Volunteers Needed

Happy Sunday!

This weekend, on Saturday, was the ordination of Dcn. Joseph Nguyen to the priesthood. We are very excited to welcome him back next weekend, now Fr. Joseph, to celebrate the 4:30pm Mass. There will be a reception afterwards for everyone to greet him and receive a blessing.

We received word recently that our school has received the $500,000 gift from the Together Let Us Go Forth campaign. We are very grateful to everyone who has contributed to this campaign and are excited about the possibilities this opens up for the school. One of the main projects we have is to install a new security system throughout the campus. This will be a big project which we hope to complete this summer.

We are looking for volunteers for our Religious Education program. If you are interested in helping but do not feel called to be a catechist there is another important role we are looking for. We are looking for people who like to organize things to help in the RE office. There is a great amount of paperwork every year because of the large number of students enrolled. If you enjoy organizing and want to volunteer, please reach out to Cathy Carlsen in the parish office to find out more. Thank you for your help!

Finally, next Saturday, June 8, is our Parish Women’s Retreat. Beth Davis will be leading this wonderful day. Please sign up now so we can get a count for the day!

Este fin de semana, el sábado, se realizó la ordenación del Dcn. Joseph Nguyen al sacerdocio. Estamos muy emocionados de darle la bienvenida el próximo fin de semana, ahora el P. Joseph, para celebrar la Misa de las 4:30 pm. Luego habrá una recepción para que todos lo saluden y reciban una bendición.

Recientemente recibimos noticias de que nuestra escuela recibió una donación de $500,000 de la campaña Juntos Sigamos Adelante. Estamos muy agradecidos con todos los que han contribuido a esta campaña y estamos entusiasmados con las posibilidades que esto abre para la escuela. Uno de los principales proyectos que tenemos es instalar un nuevo sistema de seguridad en todo el campus. Este será un gran proyecto que esperamos completar este verano.

Estamos buscando voluntarios para nuestro programa de Educación Religiosa. Si estás interesado en ayudar pero no te sientes llamado a ser catequista, hay otro puesto importante que estamos buscando. Buscamos personas que les guste organizar cosas para ayudar en la oficina de Educación Religiosa. Cada año hay una gran cantidad de papeleo debido a la gran cantidad de estudiantes matriculados. Si le gusta organizar y desea ser voluntario, comuníquese con Cathy Carlsen en la oficina parroquial para obtener más información. ¡Gracias por su ayuda!
