Happy Sunday!

We’re midway through July already and I can’t believe it. There continues to be quite a bit of activity in the parish. It’s a gift for me to see so many of you giving so generously of yourselves. There’s of course the regular events involving our funeral volunteers, rosary volunteers for funerals, cleaning the church and the chapels, as well as groups like the Knights of Columbus and our Senior Luncheon volunteers. Thank you so much to everyone who make our parish such a wonderful place to be.

We will be working on re-registering everyone in the parish over the next few months. This comes about because of a transition in our database system. We are updating to a newer and more efficient database so part of that process is to re-register. If you are not registered in the parish but attend regularly, this is a great time to finally register! By registering in the parish it lets us know you are a consistent member. This is important because if you are asked to be a godparent for baptism or confirmation sponsor it gives us an idea of your participation and involvement in the parish. This new database is related to the new on-line giving system we implemented earlier this year. Thank you to everyone who uses PushPay. By making your recurring gift on-line, it gives us the ability to better budget for the coming year since we have a good idea of the regularity of on-line gifts. Thank you so much for your generosity and for being so willing to help us in this effort to renew our registrations.

I want to also remind everyone that the parish-wide Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary begins Tue, Aug 6. You can see the flyer in the narthex of the church for some ideas on books to get to be guided in the consecration. I want to encourage everyone to participate as a family. This is a great way to deepen your relationship with the Lord and unite your families in His Love.

Ya estamos a mediados de julio y no lo puedo creer. Sigue habiendo bastante actividad en la parroquia. Es un regalo para mí ver a tantos de ustedes dando tan generosamente de sí mismos. Por supuesto, tenemos los eventos regulares que involucran a nuestros voluntarios de funerarios, voluntarios del Rosario para funerales, limpieza de la iglesia y las capillas, asi como los grupos de los Caballeros de Colón y nuestros voluntarios del Almuerzo para Personas Mayores. Muchas gracias a todos los que hacen nuestra parroquia un lugar tan maravilloso para estar.

Durante los próximos meses trabajaremos para volver a registrar a todos en la parroquia. Esto se debe a una transición en nuestro sistema de base de datos. Esta actualisacion es una base de datos más nueva y más eficiente, y parte de ese proceso es volver a registrarse. Si usted no está registrado en la parroquia pero asiste regularmente, ¡este es un buen momento para finalmente registrarse! Al registrarse en la parroquia, nos permite saber que usted es un miembro constante. Esto es importante porque si se le pide que sea padrino de bautismo o padrino de confirmación, nos da una idea de su participación e involucramiento en la parroquia. Esta nueva base de datos está relacionada con el nuevo sistema de donaciones en línea que implementamos a principios de este año. Gracias a todos los que usan PushPay. Al hacer su donación recurrente en línea, nos brinda la posibilidad de hacer un mejor presupuesto para el próximo año, ya que tenemos una buena idea de la regularidad de las donaciones en línea. Muchas gracias por su generosidad y por estar tan dispuesto a ayudarnos en este esfuerzo de renovar nuestras inscripciones.

Quiero recordarles a todos que la Consagración Total a Jesús a través de María en toda la parroquia comienza el 6 de agosto. Pueden ver el folleto en el nártex de la iglesia para obtener algunas ideas de libros que pueden usar para guiarse en la consagración. Quiero animar a todos a participar en familia. Esta es una excelente manera de profundizar su relación con el Señor y unir a sus familias en Su Amor.
